Congratulations to Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Osprey, FL on their brand-new Rodgers Infinity 361 organ.
Organist Mark Lyda and his wife, Music Director Kathleen Lyda have been running quite the successful music ministry at the Church for a few years now.  However, something important had been missing.  The original organ, which was built as a home organ and donated, was innefective and rarely used.
Upon meeting with Mark, we discussed his goals for the future of music at the Parish.  It was decided that an Infinity 361 with mechanical draw knobs and hand-crafted German Ulrich Hermann Tastaturbau (UHT) wooden keys was the only way to go.  Central Music’s team consulted with the church’s architect to ensure that the custom built speaker chambers on either side of the altar were a visual enhancement to the building’s beautiful decor, and musically effective.  Meticulous attention to detail were strictly adhered to, including the acoustic fabric used in the tone chambers.
The acoustical reverb-enhancing speakers in the rear of the Church were provided by KEF.  These speakers guarantee that additional audiophile quality and “sight-unseen yet heard” factors are maintained in the installation.  This stunningly beautiful instrument has perfectly enhanced the artistic expertise of Mark’s extraordinary talents, much to the delight of the church’s Pastor, Father Fred.  From the thunderous 32’ pedal tones, to the most delicate flutes – every nuance of the Liturgical performance is now musically captured with awe-inspiring and jaw-dropping pipe organ accuracy.  It is an installation to be experienced, seen and heard.
