One listen was all it took.

Matthew Cremisio, the talented Director of Music at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church was ready to move forward with the purchase of a large organ from another builder. Money was already being raised when we first met. After discussing the matter with Father Bob Webster, it was decided to give the Rodgers a look before a point of no return was passed.

The following day, the Eastman School of Music graduate took a field-trip to Saint Timothy Catholic Church in Lutz, Florida (just north of Tampa) to meet some of our team and hear the Rodgers Infinity Series model 484 that had recently been installed. The incredible sound of the Rodgers organ was undeniable and the bounty of advanced features was very appealing to the tech-savvy musician.

Just 5 days later, a Platinum Edition model 484 was ordered.

Fast forward to July: The installation was extremely challenging since the room offers zero chamber space for an organ’s audio system. The best location the room had to offer was near the ceiling at the front peak of the room. Thankfully, Rodgers organs have an extremely versatile audio system and we were able to provide additional (yet subtle) support for listeners in the extreme corners of the room.

The organ has a tonal palette that exceeds 600-ranks with voices that can be mixed and matched as desired! From the sweetest, softest whisper, to a thunderous Tutti (complete with 64′ flues and reeds), the organist is equipped to create any mood they desire.

This organ will be featured at a Central Music Workshop Event in the very near future.  Follow us on Facebook for updates whenever events are posted to our calendar.
