Masterpiece organs are made

The C-30 Digital Harpsichord compellingly provides the beautifully delicate sound of that traditional keyboard instrument, the harpsichord. Roland hopes to make this wonderful sound available to more people and to enable the experience of harpsichord playing to be easily enjoyed at home and other convenient places. This was the vision behind the creation of the C-30 Digital Harpsichord.
While the harpsichord is a magnificent instrument, the space it requires and the high cost of good instruments have worked against its general popularity. Acoustic harpsichords are also susceptible to going out of tune due to changing temperature and humidity. Before sitting down to play, acoustic harpsichord players need to have the skills and time to tune the instrument.
These maintenance needs and other inconveniences have made it hard for the harpsichord to be played or to be heard as much as it deserves. While paying due respect to all the factors that make the traditional instrument such a joy to play and hear, Roland applied modern ingenuity and used advanced technology to design an up-to-date harpsichord that is much easier to get along with. As an instrument that can now easily be enjoyed in any home, Roland has given the traditionally high-maintenance harpsichord a new lease on life. |

C-30
Digital Harpsichord
During the resplendent days of the Baroque Period, the harpsichord was the keyboard instrument that colored music with its rich, distinctive tone.
Through the generations, it has continued to charm music lovers all over the world. Now, you can easily enjoy its sophisticated sound and elegant form in your own home.
While producing authentically exquisite centuries-old harpsichord sounds and drawing inspiration from 21st century ingenuity, the Roland Classic Series C-30 Digital Harpsichord uses digital technology to enhance playability and expressiveness. Whether you are a virtuoso or a novice, the C-30 makes it possible for you to spend as much quality time as you want with the harpsichord.

The baroque was the period in which J. S. Bach, the father of music, wrote his many masterpieces. This was also when organ culture blossomed. Many types of organs were developed during this period — from positive organs, with small bodies and elegant tones, to pipe organs that filled large cathedrals with colossal sound. The music of the era had a miraculous beauty, and Roland's vision was to bring these rich organ tones closer to our modern lives. Based on this vision, Roland and Rodgers proudly present the classical organs C-330 and C-380. |
